A vote taken from all clubs has determined two decisions.
The outstanding 3 cups from 2019-20 season, WILL still be played, providing that they are played by 11th June 2021
The clubs have agreed that providing we can start fixtures under government regulation, that our cup qualifying competition groups will start in July 2021
At a full meeting of the leagues management Committee, it was sadly decided that given the state and level of the pandemic, any attempts to have any meaningful competition standard of games, was impossible to achieve.
This is a decision not made lightly, but the overall safety of our members has to come first.
Once we can start playing games, it was felt that clubs could concentrate on getting players fit and match ready to start the 2021-22 season
The recent announcement from the Scottish Government places all our clubs at tier 3. This means we are still unable now to play any form of football. We are continuing, and ask you to do the same, pressuring our MSP’s to call on the Government to ‘LET US PLAY’.
